Ok, this question has distracted me for a day or so. I learned some Italian via Duo Lingo a couple years ago and really enjoyedit. Using the app again in the last couple days, it seems they have made some changes and not for the better. They are really pushing you to pay for their service. The pictures used to be difficult, but doable. Now I see they are rather impossible. If you get just a couple wrong, you run out of chances to practice that day. Maybe do a lingo should be contacted and ask how blind people get past the pictures without paying for the service.
A lot about the app is the same and still very useable. If you happen to be a braille display user, I found it very handy in learning the spelling of the words Two other learning language apps you may consider are: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mango-languages/id443516516?mt=8 Mango languages goes through your local library. I’ve used it a little bit and found it pretty accessible. I have not used this app yet, so I cannot speak about it’s accessibility.
