I enabled the auto picture mode which it says is still in beta so that once you raise up the phone and I assume it recognizes all 4 edges it takes the picture automatically. I should mention that I am pretty good with special awareness and distances so as long as I put my phone down on the page and line it up, I can lift it up quickly and straight and to about the right height. I rarely get Seeing AI, for example, telling me that one edge or one corner is not visible when I do this. I think this is definitely a fantastic app which will give KNFB Reader a huge run for the money, probably it works as good or better and at $5.99 US versus $99.99 US it is pretty much a no-brainer as to which app one should get. Definitely also very nice that it does all the processing on the phone with no internet connection required. KNFB Reader does this as well, but the Seeing AI app does this for short text but not the Document channel. Of course the Seeing AI app should still be in everybody’s collection just because it has the short text channel which often is all one needs to quickly identify or read something and then of course there are all the other useful functions or channels like light detection, currency, handwriting etc. Those who have a relationship with Winston because maybe they are on his beta group might want to suggest to change the name officially to Voice Dream Scanner since there are probably enough other apps which are also called Scanner.
