Hello Susie, As far as I know, in order to use person-to-person money transfer, you must have a virtual Apple Cash card setup on your account.
Also, unless I am mistaken, the recipient must also have Apple Pay Cash setup on her/his account. In order to setup the Apple Cash card, you must have 2-factor authentication enabled, for security purposes. When the Apple Card is released, it will combine itself, Apple Pay, and the Apple Cash card into some kind of cohesive unit. Keep in mind that in order to setup the virtual cash card, you may have to provide your social security number and other personal info for identity verification.
