This is one of these questions where a Google search for “What are Facebook
Stories” provides you with tons of search results from articles, a Wikipedia
entry and Youtube videos explaining how to create them, save them and so on.
The main thing to take away from all of this is that for blind people they are
pretty useless since they are purely visual and are temporary, here is what I
found on Wikipedia:

Facebook Stories are short user-generated photo or video collections that can
be uploaded to the user's Facebook.
Facebook Stories were created on March 28, 2017. They are considered to be a
second news feed for the social media website.
It is focused around Facebook’s in-app camera which allows users to use fun
filters and Snapchat-like lenses to their content as well as add visual
geolocation tags to their photos and videos. The content is able to be posted
publicly on the Facebook app for only 24 hours or can be sent as a direct
message to a Facebook friend.
"As people mostly post photos and videos, Stories is the way they’re going to
want to do it,” says Facebook Camera product manager Connor Hayes, noting
Facebook’s shift away from text status updates after 10 years as its primary
sharing option.
“Obviously we’ve seen this doing very well in other apps. Snapchat has really
pioneered this,” explained Hayes.
Facebook has seen a lot of success through other applications like Snapchat and
Instagram, especially since Facebook bought Instagram for $1 billion in 2012.

Subject: Facebook stories??

Hello,

I’ve noticed, that when using the Facebook app on the iPhone, I tend to get a
lot of “stories”. It will have a friend’s name and will say something about
their unread or unseen story. What is that all about? I see their posts.
And, more and more, as I’m scrolling through, I just get these “unread story”
deals that I don’t understand.
I don’t see any of this when I’m on my computer and thought perhaps some of you
might know what’s going on.
