I use Fantastical 2, $4.99, whose interface is vastly superior to the native iOS calendar in my opinion.
It draws its calendar data from the native calendar, but presents it in a much better format and gives more features than the native calendar. The developer makes sure it is VoiceOver accessible. Though, I will say the custom reoccurrence settings in the native calendar app have gotten better than a few versions of iOS ago. I still prefer Fantastical.
