Hello Max, The process of copying photos from iOS to Mac OS is somewhat more sophisticated, (complicated) (smile), than it is on Windows. The only reason it's so simple on the PC is because Windows users, demanded that it be so. But that story is for another day.
ON the Mac, you can use the photos application or various others to import from iOS. I don't know if it is possible to simply copy files directly from the device to the computer via Finder, as I have never attempted to do so. Be that as it may, the entire process is completely VoiceOver accessible in Mac OS.
