Also, if you don't want a monthly subscription and own said albums on CD why not just rip them onto the computer and then you have them on the computer and you can then sync to your iPhone including these albums. By the way an individual Apple Music subscription is $9.99 a month and if you like listening to the same stuff you could just subscribe to that and both sign into Apple Music with the same Apple Id. For me the extra $5 make sense especially since my wife and I do have very different tastes.
