Hi,
I am no expert as I understand things as long as you make an encrypted backup 
all settings will be saved. Although I don’t use it for other things turn on 
key chain and that saves your wireless settings.
 I can assure you that photos will be restored to the new phone. I have done 
this before on my wife’s iPad. If I am wrong I am sure somebody will correct me.
