Hi Becky, You are using a gmail account so any filtering is something you have to set up on your gamil web interface and then it will replicate on your iPhone. Of course you could also set up a couple of other emails and use them for you rlists, I have my [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> email address which I use exclusively for the Viphone and Jaws lists and this way all these messages don’t clutter up my main work or personal email Inboxes.

I was wondering if there was a easier way to sort my important email and the list serve emails into different categories through mail? So I have email addresses that show up in the auto complete of people that I used to converse with quite sometime ago. I know that you can double tap on the more info icon next to the email address, and double tap on remove from recents. My question is: I have gotten rid of those email addresses before they keep showing up each time if I have to delete my email account for some reason ( and set it up again.) why do the addresses keep showing up if I have already clicked remove from recents. I double checked that under Gmail contacts are switched to on , these individuals do not show up on the list. And, they are not on the computer contacts list either. My guess, is that maybe the iPhone just remembers that I have conversed with these individuals in the past. It goes ahead and saves the email address?
