Hi, Thanks. I have it all set up now. Nicki found some good resources on google and I set it all up for her except for the Wi-Fi password. I really have problems with the touch typing. That light touch on the virtual keyboard always gives me fits even on the iPhone. I don't use it. When I get a client or student with it I always have problems as well, laughs! Nicki uses it by default though so I'm sure she will have no problems when she gets home from work. I was only setting it up for her as a learning experience for myself anyway. She is at the very least capable of setting it up herself. But I live for that sort of thing so she indulged me. If it was me I would be using an external keyboard unless I needed or wanted to use the emoji or lots of numbers. I have a keyboard called Logitech K480 that sells for $22 on amazon that is bigger than the Fire 7 but is a full size keyboard minus the numeric keypad. It has a dial that lets you quickly switch between three devices. If I was going to type a lot on the fire I would have to have that. I use it right now for my iPad, iPhone, and Apple TV. And it is very cool sitting there typing on all three at the same time and just dialing my device at will. Thanks again, smile! Oh by the way when I first turned it on and it sat there for ten minutes with the fire logo I almost had a heart attack. I thought I broke her brand new tablet. I lost the rest of my useable vision two years ago but in emergencies I can use extreme magnification for a few minutes if the contrast is good enough. I discovered after more than ten minutes that it said something like Optimizing Storage and system Settings. For a while there I was pretty frightened of the consequences of opening the box. Laughs!

I think you already know to hold the power switch on for about five seconds. You will hear a chime; then the voice will tell you to keep the two fingers on the screen while accessibility is enabled. I hope this helps. Kathy Blackburn [email protected] -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
