They aren’t cheap, the new connected smoker retails here in Canada for $900 and
you can find it on sale maybe for $100 less. I think Canadian Tire, a big box
store, had an exclusive on it until December 2 and I haven’t checked at all how
much it is in the States.

I too will be curious about that Bradley smoker. I think Bradley was the brand
they talked about a few years ago on Serotek. I looked into it at that time,
and they were really expensive! I don't suppose the price has gone down any.

Hi Mary, Deb and Andy,

Thanks for all of that, I’m glad the Instant Pot is and remains accessible. I
also saw the deal for the non-bluetooth version, here in Canada it was $84
Canadian, but I think when I’m ready I’ll get the bluetooth one. It was on sale
for $212 Canadian on Friday and then yesterday was back up to $229, but it was
not a big enough sale for me to jump on it on Friday.

Robert, Bradley makes a connected smoker, not sure if it’s bluetooth or WiFi. I
am selling these at my outdoor/hunting gear retail store, but I will only get
them the week after next.

the Insta pot bluethooth pressure cooker is accessible. A friend who is totally
blind uses it quite a lot and now he is looking to purchase a bluetooth smoker.

Hi,

I am grouping a few items together in this message since they all have one
thing in common, they are Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connected devices which you
control via an app.

I am basically interested in feedback on any or all of them from people who
have used them. Specifically, here are a few questions I have:

1. Philips Hue: anybody have any of these connected light bulbs and in
particular how is the SIRI Home Kit integration working? I was hoping I could
get a deal this weekend, but the only starter kits I saw on sale were the
second generation ones which have just in the last week or two been replaced
with the third generation. I think the bridge is actually unchanged, but the
new third generation bulbs are supposed to reproduce colours a lot more
accurately.

2. WiFi switches: by these I mean switches you plug into a power wall
outlet, you then plug in a device (heater, lights, coffee maker etc.) and you
can turn the connected device on or off via the app or on a schedule. I am
interested to know what brands people may have bought, does the brand you have
support home kit and hence SIRI integration?

3. Instapot: this has been discussed before, I think Mary has one. I
think the app for this was accessible and I was curious as to whether it still
is, has it become better or worse with respect to Voiceover accessibility and
are all aspects and features of the app useable?

I did find one good deal yesterday, the new Withings Body scale was on sale at
BestBuy.ca<http://BestBuy.ca> for $99.99 instead of $149.99. I had a $100 Best
Buy gift card so all it cost me was the taxes. Withings used to have what they
called the Smart Body Analyzer and it has now been replaced by two new scales,
the Body and Body Cardio. The Body Cardio also reads your heart rate, but since
I have an Apple Watch as well as a Qardio Blood Pressure monitor I didn't feel
that was very necessary. The new scale gives you the usual range of
measurements beyond weight such as body index, body fat, bone mass etc. It is
only three quarters of an inch thick and looks very nice, it supports the Apple
Health app and once I get it and my wife and I have used it I'll share my
impressions. This will be here just in time to forever record how many pounds
of Christmas cookies I eat and which somehow stick to my belly *smile*.

Best regards,
Sieghard
