It may be a little more trouble, but simply use the three-finger double tap to turn speech off just before you say hey google, then turn it back on afterward. This cancel button pronouncement has been going on for a while now, I am long since use to it. My problem is that, maybe 25 percent of the time, hey google doesn't trigger anything at all, and I have to turn speech on, find the voice search button, and tap it, to do my search.
