I've had this problem in the past, and I traced it down to this
happening when I was updating apps. For this reason and others, I
changed my auto update settings and turned this off for apps, so I now
have to go into the App Store and double tap on update all to update the
apps on my phone. I do this when I know I can set my phone down for a
few minutes and not use it when the apps are being updated. You might
want to try this and see if it fixes your problem. IMHO, updating apps
is a highly processor intensive task that taxes the older phones like my
4S or your 5.

Hello I’m using an iPhone 5 and I’m noticing at times that the voice
seems choppy and skips when speaking. The only way to fix this is to
turn off the phone and power it back on again. It just recently started
doing this within the last few months. I was wondering if it is because
