I find it easiest to pause the book at the point where you want to set a bookmark, so VoiceOver doesn't babble at you and the book doesn't run forward further than you want to go. After pausing, flick right until you hear VoiceOver say "bookmark button quote. Double-tap that button, and you'll have set a bookmark. Getting to your bookmarks is a little bit more complicated, but completely accessible. Feel around the top right-hand corner of your screen until you find the "More menu "button and double-tap it. Another screen will open; double-tap the bookmarks option on that screen. Select the bookmark you want by double-tapping it. The book will start playing from that bookmark; if you find you've chosen the incorrect bookmark, just double-tap another one, as you'll still be in the bookmarks screen. Once you found the correct bookmark, you can hit the "Close "button in the top left-hand corner, and you'll be returned to the book screen.
If you'd like to be able to jump quickly chapter by chapter, double-tap on the book image, and the Jump Back/Jump Forward buttons will turn into Previous/Next chapter buttons.
