Hi Christina, thanks, so glad you enjoyed the podcast.
iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan will show them as live photos, while they will be 
seen as standard photos on other devices. Live photos are containers that 
actually consist of two files, a JPG file and a .mov file. The magic is the way 
Apple strings all this together. But since these are both standard file 
formats, if you were to transfer the photos to a Windows or Android device, 
people could see the small movie, and the JPG individually.
