Hi John, in the Live Photos demo, I'm not double tapping and holding, just locating the icon with a flick or tap, then lifting my finger, then placing it on the screen being sure not to move it at all and pressing firmly. Writing it down or explaining it makes it sound more complicated than it really is, and I think everyone will get the hang of it pretty quickly. Just lift your finger, then press down again with some firmness. The phone will give you haptic feedback to let you know it's understood your firm press.
