Hi all,
The iPhone 4 has been resolved--I'd lent it to my mother and forgotten, so that
explains the different passcode.

Now I'm getting ready to erase my own iPhone, a 5, after doing a full backup.
What I'm wondering is: will doing this remove it from my account? I ran into a
situation last year where a client's iPad wouldn't activate because the
previous owner had never taken the device off their account, so it thought it
was stolen or something. I'm trading this iPhone to Verizon, but I still want
to be sure I take it off my own account. I read some material that said erasing
all content will handle this, by prompting for your Apple ID password during
the process. However, the iPhone 4 I just erased--which had iOS7--gave me no
such prompt, though I thought it should have. Given that, is there anything I
should do to my 5 to get it ready? Will it remove itself automatically, even if
it never asks for my password, or will it require something more from me I
haven't discovered yet? Thanks guys!
