I had this happen to me a couple of weeks ago before the update. No matter how many times I reset my router my phone would lose the wifi connection. I finally held the power and home buttons for 10 seconds, reset my router one more time, and reentered my wifi key. For some reason it worked. I haven't lost my connection since.
