Did you disconnect and reconnect, or forget the pairing completely? The former may not be enough, while the latter lets iOS start the process from scratch. In your bluetooth settings, find the keyboard, then swipe a finger right once to the "More Info" button. Double tap, choose "Forget Device", and double tap again, then confirm your action in the alert that appears. Re-pair the keyboard like it were the first time, and see if that fixes things.
