Hi Tom, you'd need to delete the individual episodes, not the podcasts themselves. So double-tap each podcast, review the episodes Downcast has, and delete them. You should be able to do this using the actions rotor in VO. One slightly quicker way would be to set up a playlist containing all of your downloaded episodes and delete each episode from there.
