Hi Don, As Christopher pointed out, if the phone is constantly on alert to listen to Hey SIRI, it puts a lot of drain on the battery. Aple has apparently solved this problem with the new 6S and 6S Plus hardware where Hey SIRI is available all the time. I actually really look forward to that and it is one feature which made me decide to upgrade my 5S to a 6S because I do live in northern BC where it can get pretty cold in the winter and if I can wear a wired or bluetooth headset and just say "Hey SIRI" to wake up SIRI while I am out and about, then that is definitely a good thing when my iPhone is under my coat and I am wearing gloves.
