Craig,

I don't know if this workaround will help you but it's what I do when I want
to install an older version of an app which I've backed up on my Windows
computer.

1. I first delete the app off of my iPhone using the standard method of
double tapping and holding on its icon. This puts the phone in the mode to
move or delete an app.
2. Double tapping on the app icon while in this move mode will cause the
phone to ask to confirm that you're sure you want to delete it which you
should say okay if you're sure.
3. Find the backup of the app on your computer which you just deleted on the
phone and copy it.
4. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the Automatically Add to iTunes
subfolder which branches off of the iTunes Media folder and paste the backup
app file just copied into it.
5. The next time you open iTunes, it should prompt you if you're sure you
want to copy an older version of the app into your ITunes library which you
should confirm.
6. Sync your iTunes with your connected phone after doing the above steps
and the older version of the app should again be on your phone.
7. Delete the app from the Automatically Add to iTunes folder so iTunes
won't ask you to confirm the replacement of an older version in the event
you later decide to update its version.

I hope this helps.

Subject: Using iTunes for Windows to Sync an App to iPhone 5

Hello, everyone.

I am trying to use iTunes 12.1x for Windows with Window-Eyes 9.1 to
sync an old version of an app to my iPhone 5. I used to be able to do
this, but with the current software versions, I can't figure out how
to navigate to the app list and get the "remove" and "install" buttons
to work so that the app will install to the iPhone. Is this operation
possible with the latest Window-Eyes and iTunes versions?

Thank you for all help.

Craig
