Hello list,
A question for those who are using older iPhones and iPads. I was curious to know what sort of performance folks are experiencing with this latest iOS 8.3 update. If it’s by any chance snappier in general than prior 8.0 versions or if it at least doesn’t slow the device down any more? My wife’es got a 4S that I plan on taking over from her for a second line once we upgrade my phone, but on the times I do use her phone, I notice that it’s really showing it’s age as far as sluggishness and responsiveness with Voiceover. She’s sighted and has an iPad anyway so performance as a whole on the phone is no big deal for her, but as I want to use it, I’d like an idea of what I can come to expect. As a second line, I don’t’ plan on using but the most basic apps for communication so video or audio streaming or games won’t be a concern. My guess is that 8.3 will probably be the last so called big update for the 4S but for possible bug fix type of updates. So whatever it is now, it will be. We’ve also got an old iPad 2 floating around here that’s getting long in the tooth that I’d like to update if it won’t slow it down any further. Anyway, hopefully those who have had a chance to play with it on their 4S or even iPad 2 can provide their observations/feedback.
