I have heard it can be used by itself with Dragon, but that it is iffy because it doesn't repeat back what you edited. There is a place called www.hartgenconsultancy.com which makes a program that works JAWS and Dragon together so that it does give feedback. I have heard mixed reviews on the product, but the demonstration seems like it works. i am not certain how well it all works, but it's good enough.
Someone converted a dictionary into text files which I put on my braille sense, and they are done by letter. I doubt you'd even need such a thing, but I have it if you need or want it. I am getting all my textbooks converted right now into smaller files because they are too large, and when I try to open them, they just gum up the computer or notetaker that I am using. Of course, one can go simply go online, but when you are transcribing, I would imagine it would seem easier to be able to look up something quickly on your phone without googling something. I was just wondering if any medical transcriptionists were on the list, and are you using any IPhone apps or other types of references like this? I use Windows for my computer, but like i said, I thought this might help keep the computer less cluttered while transcribing. A lot of the compter reference materials seem to be hogs.
