They have done Blackjack and Video Poker too. They just put out one called Wild
Card. I haven’t tried it out yet, but looking forward to doing so.

it happen?

Have you reached out to Kid Friendly Software? They've made three card games so
far, I believe, all self-voicing and meant to be played by the blind,
primarily. I'm sure that you could tell them your suggestion and they'd be
willing to help. They've done Solitaire, Crazy Eights, and another one I can't
think of right now, so they seem to be on a card game kick at the moment.

  Hi all.

The subject pretty much says it all I guess. I've been desperately seeking a
VO-accessible Spades game for about 2 years now, and I haven't yet found one.
I've emailed developers of the current Spades games out there, and, if I
received a reply at all, the best response I've received is along the lines of,
"We have a public forum, and if a suggestion gets enough support, we'll
definitely consider it."

I know diddly-squat about programming, so I looked at GameSalad. I figured
that, since I have been an avid Spades player for years, and since I couldn't
seem to get help any other way, I'd try it myself, using something that did the
programming for me, which is what I freely admit that I have no idea how to do.
*GRIN* Well, I learned that, currently, it seems that GameSalad doesn't
support the accessability frameworks of IOS and Android, so, unfortunately, I
couldn't accomplish what I was trying to do. However, GameSalad has a public
forum, and if my suggestion to include the accessibility frameworks got enough
support... Well, I'm sure you get the idea. LOL

So, is there any developer out there willing to help with developing a
VO-friendly Spades game? If you do a search for Spades in this group, you'll
see that there are quite a few of us that want it. I myself have been playing
Spades for over 35 years with my family and friends, and I know, love, and have
played quite a few variations of the game. If, as a developer, you're
concerned that it just won't make enough money as compared to the time/effort
that you'd have to put into it, please remember this. The card game section of
VO-friendly games is small at best. You could develop Spades, Hearts, Pitch
(AKA Setback), Phase 10, Skip-Bo, Five Crowns (Or, if you'd prefer to use a
regular deck of cards, a variation of that game called Three Thirteen), and
many more. If you're a developer interested in helping to make an accessible
version of Spades actually happen, please feel free to contact me off-list. My
email address is:

  [email protected]

Hopefully, there'll be one or two developers out there who are willing to
help a desperate Spades junkie who's going through major withdrawal out! LOL

  Thanks guys!

  Amy
