iTunes was already suggested multiple times in response to this question. People have been suggesting Google or iTunes and not really been passing judgment on which solution is best or putting down anyone else's suggestion.

I touched on why I recommend Google myself, but the requester wanted links to apps for an article they were writing. They didn't say what platform they were writing their article on or whether they wanted to install the apps themselves or already had the apps installed.

Personally, I don't always have iTunes running. I bring it up to install a new version of IOS or transfer some music, but in general I don't have iTunes running. I almost always have Firefox up and running, and if I don't, it loads faster and takes up afewer resources than iTunes.

I'm frequently posting links to apps I don't have installed myself or plan to install. I'm also writing articles and email messages from my PC.

For these reasons, I find it easier to just bring up Firefox, search the iTunes store for an app and post the resulting link in an email message or a blog article.

Obviously, if someone has iTunes up and running, or wants to look for an app they have installed but can't recall the exact name of the app or the developer then of course, iTunes is the way to go. I don't think of one solution as better than the other, there are just multiple ways to get to the same information, and I think it's good that we see multiple suggestions and let people use the one that works for them and their situation.

Rather than googling, why aren't people just using iTunes to search the
iTunes store? Is there really a need to use another program to find
apps, then use a browser to get to the app that could so much more
easily be found through the use of one program that not only will get
you to the link, but also do the installation onto your device and keep
it in your library if you need it again?

Could anyone describe how you find the direct link to a particular
app? I am writing an article that specifically requests that the links
to the relevant apps be included in the text. Feel free to write to me

help you can give would be wonderful, as I have a deadline.
