I have a 4S and am conscious that KNFB Reader probably is a bit slow
sometimes. There are occasions when I have found it wasn't working but
learned that, if I take the time to remove items from the App Switcher which
are not necessary before scanning, all is then well.
I'm glad I purchased before I upgraded as it wasn't necessary to wait until
I do, whenever that is.

As far as support is concerned, the 4S is supported and is listed on the
KNFB web site as a supported device at http://www.knfbreader.com/ You'll
get support for KNFB Reader on the 4S just as you would on any other
supported device.
This is a good example of why you shouldn't rely exclusively on answers
to questions on lists of users like this. People will tell you what they
think or what they've heard, which may not be correct. In this case, the
correct answer is just a Google search away.
Note that I'm not saying people shouldn't ask questions on list. Lists
are a very important source of information, but remember you're talking
to other users and not paid tech support. I also don't think people are
intentionally passing along misinformation. Like I said, there sometimes
just going on what they've heard or what they remember from the past.
