Ultimately I added:
let curfile = @%
and added that to:
call system("mvim ".curfile." -S ".shellescape(sessionfile).' -c "set
lines='.h.' columns='.w.'"'.' -c "winpos '.x.' '.y.'"')
and it seems to work for me. I'm assuming mvim is lacking something gvim
automatically does.
