I'm gonna give this a try, Gary. I'm wondering if I need to do anything to get the files to open in tabs. I know there was a way to do that with aliases---with the '-p' argument. I've checked ':h args' and it's not clear---to me. As I say, I'm gonna go ahead and give it a try. My be back here for further instructions. While I'm at it, I use QuickSilver to start my apps.
