(at the Vim command-line, when looking at that README file, to see if it
has been modified), both give me
**error** (netrw) ?Invalid command.
in red (possibly Error or ErrorMsg highlight) followed on the next line
by the normal
"/tmp/vHg0s9d/3" [readonly] 231L, 14146C
(or similar) in Normal highlight. The file is read into the window as if
no eror had happened AFAICT. I'll try to give a little more debugging
info than my usual. I don't know when it started happening but no later
than 7.4.199. It still happens (as seen below) in 7.4.205. The above is
from gvim (i.e. with GUI running), I've also tried to invoke "view
ftp://ftp.vim.org/pub/vim/patches/7.4/README"; (without the quotes) in
bash in both a konsole terminal and the no-X11 Linux console, and I get
the same message.
