Hello, With the new "Spring Update" from Microsoft for Windows 10, there are issue when Ryzen users want to update their VM to Win10 1803 or install directly from the ISO. I don't know if this issue exist for Intel CPUs.
For my case, if i set -cpu to "host-passthrough" and try to install Win10 1803, i have a BSOD when i boot on the DVD with this error message : *System Thread Exception Not Handled* I have the same thing if i install Win10 1709 and update the system to 1803, BSOD when i reboot. The only solution which exist is to set -cpu to "Core2Duo" only. For Ryzen users, set to this and back to 'host-passthrough" failed. But this way works for ThreadRipper users. The performance are not really differents for me : - Host-passthrough (Ryzen 1600) with 12 CPUs passed through : 1104 - Core2Duo with 12 CPUs passed through : 1066 But by curiosity, where can come from this issue ? Vfio, Qemu or OVMF ? Thanks, Maxime
