Hi
I am not sure if the Intel IGD is actually using VFIO but I haven't been able to find much information elsewhere.
I am trying to get Windows 10 to run using the IGD on a haswell a HD 4600 device in UEFI mode and qemu.
I have a configration that boots up Fedora and Ubuntu live CDs with mode setting. There is nothing display until the i915 driver is loaded on the guest which is expected. I have a couple of questions tho, as I cannot get windows 10 to boot:
Do I need to specify the bios? I have tried getting the bios using the intel 01.org site but that bios is only in an older kerne and it is a VGA video bios. I am using pure UEFI.
The windows install has the windows drivers working as I have taken the image from the same machine that I installed it on but it refuses to boot. I tried enabling the QXL video card on a different PCI slot (-vga wont do with qemu 2.8) and I got video out, but crashes when the IGD driver was loaded. How is it possible to debug this in windows, as nothing appears in the event log.
Cheers
Chris
