I'm still having ROM errors after checking all of those switches and removing the SLI cable? I also have occasional issues where when I try to suspend the computer just immediately wakes back up, failing to reset the card. I'm assuming something is holding the computer back from powering down. It's strange stuff, I might see if I can just use poweroff to reboot the card directly.
