Udo (and others),

I found that it also saves (overwrites) setup.conf upon shutdown. Well, I guess 
the idea is to save the user's configuration in case VDR is used interactively 
(with a full-featured card and OSD menus).

Wouldn't it make sense to make VDRs behaviour a bit more consistent here and 
also save any unsaved changes to channels.conf upon shutdown?

By the way: Does VDR listen to any signals, for example SIGHUP to re-read the 
config?
