My ntpd is running as below;
ps aux |grep ntpd
/usr/sbin/ntpd -c /etc/ntp.conf -p /var/run/ntpd.pid -f /var/db/ntpd.drift
cat /etc/ntp.conf
#####################
server clepsydra.dec.com
server clock.fmt.he.net
server clock.isc.org
tinker step 0
driftfile /etc/ntp/ntp.drift
#####################
is above conf enough for dovecot ?
what should it be for the better job ? ( That's to say, not to be any
problem in Dovecot )
I don't put it to crontab. do I have to put it ?
What's the problem with the NTP.. Just put it on a cron job or change your
bios battery to fix your clock.
Just my 2 cents.

Dovecot is very well to me. But I have a problem about it. I have to run
ntpd on the server. Because if time is not true, dovecot kills itself.
is there a way to ignore this option without causing any problem on
dovecot?
I'm not aware of this issue so I'm afraid i cannot help you with that.
Perhaps just see and try in a test environment first?
