Yes, if ANY of the system libraries are different -- RECOMPILE!
It is only safe to copy binaries if the OS libraries are IDENTICAL. To
me this means installed from the same CD.
Heaven help you if you overwrite something in a library that the rest of
the system depends on when rsyncing... Time to re-install the OS.
