[vchkpw] courier-authdaemond MySQL error

Hi all,
I've noticed the following message turning up in the logs:
authdaemond: vmysql: sql error[3]: Lost connection to MySQL server 
during query

Anyone know exactly what causes this and/or how it can be fixed?
