Hi ! Thanks for your help, but I _have_ the chkuser patch installed ! The problem are not the local adresses.
When a local user sends an email to an unexisting _remote_ adress, the user does not get a bounce message back, but the bounce-message gets stuck in my bounce queue. I want that my local users get bounce messages when they send to unexisting remote accounts, or there is e.g. a limit at the target remote account. But it doesn't work :( thanks, knom. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeremy Kitchen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, August 02, 2004 9:54 AM Subject: Re: Fw: [vchkpw] Bounce Mails > On Monday 02 August 2004 02:51 am, knom wrote: > > Hi ! > > > > I am using qmail with vpopmail 5.4.5. > > > > I've got a problem. > > Every time a user sends a mail to an unexisting user or there is another > > problem with the mail it doesn't bounce back to the user itself, but the > > bounce message gets stuck in bounce-queue (/var/qmail/queue/bounce/). > > > > I want the mail bounced back to the users' mailbox, so they get to know, > > that they typed in a wrong adresse for example.. > > that's what it does. > > if a message is bounced, qmail sends it to the envelope sender of the email, > just as it's supposed to. > > -Jeremy > > -- > Jeremy Kitchen ++ Systems Administrator ++ Inter7 Internet Technologies, Inc. > [EMAIL PROTECTED] ++ www.inter7.com ++ 866.528.3530 ++ 847.492.0470 int'l > kitchen @ #qmail #gentoo on EFnet ++ scriptkitchen.com/qmail > >
