A new problem cropped up now.
My qmail has default domain conopscentral.com.
smtp server: conopscentral.com
pop3 server: conopscentral.com
Now when I send a mail using following settings,
I get failure notice like this

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at conopscentral.com. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

After so many tries I found out my mistakes and one of yours.
1) The .qmail file should reside in
-----/home/vpopmail/domains/domain.com/fred/.qmail------
&[EMAIL PROTECTED]
/home/vpopmail/domains/domain.com/fred/Maildir/
2) One thing to be taken care of is the file permissions.
the .qmail file should be owned by user vpopmail and group vchkpw
3) Be careful when you define the path of Maildir.
