Would anyone care to provide a pointer to a hint for how to accomplish allowing virtual users to change their own passwords?
Take a look at qmailadmin. It's overkill for changing passwords, but one of the only ways I know to do it.
A feature request for the next development cycle of qmailadmin is to have a simple "change password" interface where a user can type their email address, old password, and new password (twice) to make the change.
