I believe that you can delete vpasswd.cdb and it will be automatically re-created from vpasswd the next time a user attempts a POP/IMAP login.


Try this:

mv vpasswd.cdb /tmp
telnet localhost 110
USER [EMAIL PROTECTED]
PASS xxx
QUIT
ls -l vpasswd.cdb

Note that I recently (5.3.28 release) fixed a bug in vpopmail where the .cdb file would be created with incorrect ownership/permissions.
