I then tried to specify the location of vpopmail (which is in the default

cat: /home/vpopmail/etc/inc_deps: No such file or directory
cat: /home/vpopmail/etc/lib_deps: No such file or directory

I Am running as root and the vpopmail include files are there. On the
assumption that I was using incompatible versions, I have attempted to set
this up with the following combinations: vpopmail 5.3.26 + qmailadmin
1.0.6, vpopmail 5.3.26 + qmailadmin 1.0.25, vpopmail 5.2.1 + qmailadmin
1.0.6, vpopmail 5.2.1 + qmailadmin 1.0.25.

This is an odd problem. It looks like the configure script creates those two files, when it should probably be the Makefile. I'm moving the code that creates those two files into the Makefile for 5.3.27 now.

What are the permissions on /home/vpopmail/etc? Perhaps the new Makefile isn't creating it properly. I had removed the permissions setting code so that it wouldn't screw with /usr/local/etc if you chose to install to /usr/local instead of /home/vpopmail.
