I just want to let ya know the mail server is for me personally, it won't be used commercially and quotas cause issues for the number of lists i'm on. This was the first time i installed vqadmin, i had always done stuff from the conf files. This was a bit of a challenge to install but I got it working on FreeBSD file paths are a bit different though than the examples.
I'm coming from the background of using IMAIL and Windows 2000. IMAIL has an option to turn off quotas off for certain users, this is necessary for me because I'm on several dozen lists and receive a lot of mail, if it isn't possible to turn quotas completely off I'll just crank the number real high. Any feedback would be appreciated. * ----------------------------------------- * * Steve Schofield - MCP, CCA * [EMAIL PROTECTED] * * Microsoft MVP - ASP.NET * http://www.aspfree.com * ----------------------------------------- * ----- Original Message ----- From: "Evren Yurtesen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Steve Schofield" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, August 09, 2003 5:26 AM Subject: Re: [vchkpw] Hard Quota's in VPOPMAIL > Because your setting only effects the postmaster user when you open > domain with vQadmin, then vqadmin sets a domain quota, after that > qmailadmin use that domain quota for a default quota.
