[vchkpw] Installation

I have installed VPopMail (5.2.1).  The system is running on redHat 7.3.  I have install VMailMgr and then removed it.  if I do:
 
chris real unix user
telnet 0 110
user chris
+OK
pass xxx
-ERR authorization failed
Connection closed to foreign host
 
if I do:
info virtual user
telnet 0 110
+OK
pass info
-ERR aack, child crashed
Connection closed to foreign host
