Hello All, could anyone shed some light on this? In other words, how to control the number of connections that are attempted by qmail/vpopmail and/or how many connections are supported/ handled by MySQL.
I have looked for this information in every place I can think of, and I can still not get this to work. As soon as someone drops a mail to, say, 20-30 recipients at the same time, I get these bounce messages. -Joaquim -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Skickat: den 20 november 2002 16:00 Till: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Ämne: [vchkpw] Too many connections to MySQL.. ? (VPOPMAIL 5.3.5) Hi there, someone wanted to drop a mail to all of our 1200+ users and apparently a) had a not-so-up-to-date list of recipients (which resulted in a few, correct, bounced), and b) caused VPOPMAIL to flood our MySQL-server. The resulting output in a bounce message was: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: could not connect to mysql update server Too many connections with database vmysql: sql error[1]: Can't create database 'XXvpopmail'. Database exists vmysql: sql error[3]: No Database Selected Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. vpopmail (#5.1.1) How do I control how many sessions it attempts to open.. ? ___ .: +46 70 7745707 .: Domo arigato gozaimashita .: At the end of a smile, there is a laugh and a 1/2
