Yes there is some sort of clash with vpopmail and courier-imap's authdaemon If you use authdaemon, it will usually work for a short period and then stop responding So, to ensure things will work reliabily, you should compile courier-imap with : --without-authdaemon --with-authvchkpw Michael.
