Did distclean and recompiled and it looks like I'm making headway now.
Now, the maillog shows "vchkpw: password failier [EMAIL PROTECTED]:192.168.0.5".
I assume that this means that it in fact found thomasj at gabbs.org
but it isn't getting the password correct.
