Yes I have checked it and I don't see a sendmail
process listed. I have also tried removing and reinstalling vpopmail. After
doing that the other 3 domains work just fine with vpopmail, but the main one
linuxinstruct.com still won't authenticate using [EMAIL PROTECTED] as the user
name it comes back with authentication errors even though I have changed the
password and triple checked it.
Also can you tell me what I should have in the
/var/qmail/control/ files so I can make sure those are correct.

I'm sure this sounds silly but are you sure that
qmail/vpopmail are
still running? It sounds like sendmail is running as the only way that qmail would change it's delivery method is if the /var/qmail/rc file was changed. What do your log files say? Also, it should be noted that vpopmail does not support anything but Maildir delivery.
