Ok... I upgraded tonight. I still can do successful POP logins. I see the correct log in the maillog. I see that /etc/tcp.smtp.cdb is updated properly via the crontab, and it has the vpopmail/vckhpw user and group. However I still see that the ~/vpopmail/etc/open-smtp* files are 644 and owned by root. They are also still 0 byte files. At least using the ~/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtp/run file as described in the LWQ gives me a connection (though relaying is denied). The file described in the FAQ (both in the distro and online) causes smtp connections to be refused (no server!) Any ideas? Thanks in advance. --Photocon Conrad Hunziker III www.nightskyent.com
