Cut the diff output to a file and patch it in.  Say you put it in
/src/qmailqueue.patch and your qmail is in /src/qmail-1.03 do

cd /src/qmail-1.03
patch < ../qmailqueue.patch

Hope that helps.  And there was no need to get defensive.  I'd forgotten
